Suzanne's Story

Life My name was Suzanne Dorosky and I am a graduate of 1983 at Homestead Senior High. Regardless, I am now living in Pennsylvania. I am divorced from my husband of 14 years. Gilbert still continues to be very good to the kids and I and I am extremely grateful for the close friendship he and I share. Gilbert will continue to be my very best friend and as he remains now, will always be a part of our lives. We are fortunate to get along as well as we do and I still believe him to be a wonderful man. My son is now 13 and my daughter has hit the pre-teen age of 12 going on 21. My son is in seventh grade and continues to do exceptionally well in school and is fortunate that his education has always come easy to him. My daughter still receives services for her dyslexia that compare to none and provide her the sole possibility (I believe) to remain on the honor roll she has achieved since starting her education. This is a child who truly works hard to be who she intends to be! LOL - that or she continues to push herself to keep up with her brother and with my attitude entirely, refuses to let anything keep her back. ;-) My stepdaughter who just turned eighteen has now lived with me for the last year and a half. She has improved all her grades to nothing short of a B or an A, is a High School Cheerleader, now loves school and has really turned her life around. I am so fortunate to have her back in our lives. I adore my family, my stepdaughter included and consider myself so very fortunate to have the wonderful children I do! We consider ourselves a team and we are all blessed to have each other. I truly believe everything that has happened in my life has happened for a reason. I don't believe I could have found a better school system for my children and feel truly...Expand for more
blessed they continue to do well. Both are now playing soccer, tennis and golf. My son initially played a little football but being the intellectual he is (and not having the build) we finished the season (with great fear from the sidelines from his mom as his lanky body got knocked around) we've agreed the more intellectual sports like golf, tennis and the like are more my son's style. My daughter continues to do well in every athletic sport she decides to do (which amazes her father) but soccer (swimming a close second) seems to be her true sport. My stepdaughter will finish up Cheerleading this spring and intends to go out for soccer herself to complete her senior year. As for myself, I have regained my Real Estate license up here which I let lapse years ago when I left to return to Florida. I regreted that then just as much as I regret the market now. LOL I have found a love of gardening....or just a love of my home. I am back into horseback riding and last year was taken to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon for my birthday with several friends. It was an awesome experience that I hope happens again this year. My cousin still rides the professional circuit too so that is pretty cool. She has a beautiful, but extremely expensive show horse. Tennis and golf are also my games. I still love to keep active and to keep fit, do a whole lot of dancing with my friends up here. I am a member of the gym but rarely find it necessary to attend. ;-) I rediscovered my love for snow skiing on a regular basis and now that the weather is nice, love the water sports as well. All of my kids learned how to ski last summer and have already hit the water themselves this past Summer and the slopes several times this Winter. I pray you are all doing equally well. God bless everyone. Suzanne
