Suzanne's Story
I’ve lived in many places in California since our high school days – including on a hilltop overlooking San Francisco and The Bay ... across from the ocean and a long stretch of beach ... in a Sierra Foothills gold mining community ... and alongside a lake attracting much wildlife. There's so much to see and enjoy in California! But eight years ago, I chose to put family first by moving to Raymore, Missouri, to help aged and ill family members. After all this time, I've established roots and will probably stay here.
I retired at age 62, as did my husband. That wasn’t a big change for either of us since we were both self-employed after years of corporate work, and we had been traveling for 6-8 months at a time...Expand for more
while communicating with our clients via the Internet. With our retirements, we simply exchanged the client business for work on our own projects and continued to travel in Europe, Canada and the U.S. Avid motorhomers, we logged in nearly 190,000 miles in North America before settling down in Missouri. We now have a very different lifestyle but continue to enjoy our favorite activity: exploring nature.
