Life
Hello Out There!
Imagine my delight at tripping over this
site on a recent trip down the
superhighway... I have been married for
seven years to a wonderful guy (irony of
ironies: he's a math teacher, talk about
sleeping with the enemy...) We have a
daughter named Eleanor (age two and a
half) She's hardwired to be overly
dramatic and a total diva. I'm home
with her living in suburbia.
Periodically I look up from the laundry
I'm folding or chicken I'm frying and
think, "Well, HOW DID I GET HERE?!) All
is wonderfully well, however, Best
Wishes to all old friends, Pretty trippy

2005:
Ellie's now 6 going on 16. ( She informed me recently that seeing how her favorite camp counselor had a belly ring, she saw no reason why she shouldn't have one as well...) While engaged in one of our routine stare-downs, I am haunted by my mother's angry predictions made back while I was in high school: "You're going to have one just like you one day!" Doesn't it suck when you come to find that your Mom actually knew of what she spoke? Anyway, I've returned to work albeit part-time. I work at a local high-end event facility...Expand for more
running weddings, outragiously over-priced bar/batmitzvahs. that type of thing. I've also taken up costume fesign again after a too long sabatical. That has proven to be a total joy. My husband and I share a love of theatre and I recently lent a hand to costume his middle school production of Cinderella. Here in high-stake, over-the-top Westchester, the school play doesn't much look like the productions we launched back in the day. Although David would have been happy with a chorus-line of cast-off bridesmaids' dresses, I took on the task of designing and sewing some 225 gowns from scatch. Broadway hits Katonah. My last nerve! Anyway, that's about that. My staff at the catering hall, being on the average about 17 years old each, constantly serve to remind me how trully ancient I 've really become. In trying to give a waitress someway to remember the typr of sauce she was serving last week I said to her:"It's "carbonara" think of "carbon paper" ..." It was then that I rembered that this little girl didn;t have a clue what "carbon paper" is. Ah well. It all serves to keep me chuckling. What the hell am I gonna do otherwise? Be well 79'ers!
