High school wasn't my forte. Not very many people knew about my learning disabilities, which at the time left me feeling "lesser than" the regular students. I had a way with cooking and sewing which I still enjoy to this day. I love to travel, just not the actual getting there aspect! Does anyone really enjoy flying these days? Perhaps first class on KLM or Singapore Air, but coughing up the extra airfare just doesn't seem worth it. I'd rather spend the extra money doing something new & different, or treating my hosts to something special. While I lived abroad in The Netherlands (late 1980's - early 1990's) I developed a taste for Opera, Kansas City MO has just reciently built a new performing arts center which has a special stage just for the Kansas City Opera. Truth be told, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this particular art form, turns out I love it! I had my own catering company in which all the food was made from scratch from recipes I had researched and tweaked to perfection. Included in my repretrau were all manner of cusines from American classics all the way to Vietnamese & everything in between. My favorites were Italian and Thai.
