Suzanne's Story
Where has the time gone? It was really shocking when I received a post card for our 50-Year Reunion. How did I get so old? It seems like yesterday, but looking back there has been so much that has happened in my life. I attended Western Carolina University for a couple of years and then came home to attend Northern Virginia Community College for a year or so. I worked as a secretary for several firms in Virginia, but discovered I was particularly adept at software programming. So, I worked for a couple of beltway companies as a programmer. ked as an Applications Supervisor and Software Programmer in support of the Shuttle and Titan programs at Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. During that time, I graduated from Rollins College. I met and married my soulmate, Chris, and have two terrific step-sons. I retired in late 2013. My husband and I then enjoyed retirement by traveling and doing those things we always wanted to do. Sadly, my husband passed away in August 2021. I now enjoy artistic endeavors, gardening and our village wildlife. It’s been an amazing journey and I’ve truly been blessed throughout the years.
