Suzanne's Story

Hello Everybody, Life has been incredible since leaving Cynthiana. I've lived many places and am now in Germany (despite the fact that the map puts me just outside Portland - I suppose we share a zip code!). In my 20s, I moved to NYC, where I worked for Ralph Lauren Footwear (still love shoes!). I later moved to San Francisco, where I graduated from law school in 2000. I practiced civil rights law for a year, then began working in politics. I was married last year to an Irish scientist. He completed his post-doc and was recruited by the University of Würzberg, so here we are in Germany. It is lovely, and we have easy access to so many gorgeous countries. eep at it somehow). And, I'm in the early stages of writing a book on African-American politics from the time of the Revolution through the Civil War and Reconstruction. I am currently searching for a professor at one of a few nearby universities so that I might get some help and pursue a PhD in American Studies. It would likely make the book better. Learning in isolation, I think, is limiting. It helps to have somebody knowledgeable with whom to share ideas. Daniel and I have two lovely cats but no children. I like to think I'm a magnificent aunt, though. I would love to hear from long lost friends. You can find me on facebook or by googling and leaving a comment at my blog... PerfectingOurUnion Cheers!
