WOW..Where to start!! Have been married twice...1st marriage lasted 12 years in which I was blessed with 3 children (Scotty, Bryon and Pam) On a sad note my oldest son Robert Scott passed away of cancer in 2002. I lived in the South from 1967 to 1978...Fla and SC. Graduated from Roper School of Nursing in Charleston, South Carolina in l975. Moved back to the beautiful state of Oregon in 1978..One of the hi-lights in my travels was going back to Douglas, Wyo, my birth place and sharing the joy of my grandmother Smith's 100 birthday. She passed away several years ago and is still missed greatly by all in the family..
I also have 2 step daughters, 5 grand kids and 3 step grand kids. I live in a small community in Oregon with my hubby Jim of 28 years. I owned and ran several businesses here in my community which I sold a few years ago and I am now retired somewhat. I now care for animals that have been abused or where in the need of rescue. And then there are the many wild animals that seem to find their way to our home.
I was a EMT here in our community for 15 years and retired in 2002 after raising the mone...Expand for more
y needed for a new ambulance for our community for which I received the State of Oregon's EMS Community Service Award and Medal. I was also on the city council for 5 years and in 2001 became the 1st woman mayor for our community, which was a eye opener to a lot of the old timers here...some still think a woman's place is in the kitchen...hahaha...I resigned in late 2002 since I was going back and forth to Fla to be with my son before he passed away and did not feel I was able to give 100% to our community...
My hubby Jim and I have enjoyed going and showing our cars at shows for the past 8 years, but due to his health we no longer do any. Jim had a 79 Luv pickup and I had a 1923 T-bucket....both have been sold. They will be missed but life goes on......UPDATE: The 79 Luv is back home where it belongs, hubby bought it back last month (Aug 2009) and We also have New Toys ~ A 1987 Black Corvette, which is hubby's and a 1976 White Corvette, which is mine :)
