Suzy's Story
Graduated 1964 and got out of Dodge as quick as I could. Worked for a couple of years as a model in D.C. and earned enough to leave. Went to Woodstock and then on to live in Florida. Can't remember why....Went on to Germany for the summer and stayed 4 1/2 years. Lived in a commune in Germany. Moved back to U.S. and went to California to get my education. Got degrees in Accounting and Computer Science and went to work in Hercules, CA. at an oil refinery. Process cost accounting! Who woulda thunk it? s best salesman and he convinced me to get married (at 40). We started our own business, adopted an 8 month old baby when I was 47 and she was 8 months old. Home schooled her from 2nd to 11th grade. She's ditching 12th grade and starting college in September! For the last 6 years she and I have belonged to a Dance Company. We perform and compete all over the west coast. Where has the time gone?
I was a real misfit, too tall, too skinny, too poor, too shy to fit in anywhere. I was a member of the Rifle Club and became the NRA National Rifle Champion the year I graduated.
