Jennifer's Story
Life
Hi, I graduated in 1973 and moved to San Diego. Then I moved to Balboa Peninsula and Costa Mesa in 1974-75.I went to Orange Coast community college and then moved to L.A. with my mom and sister. I worked in insurance ( as a peon) and I also worked at the Farmers Market behind CBS studios. I live in Hollywood for about a year and then I got a job at the auto club in Van Nuys. I lived in a singles apt bldg in the valley for a while, and then I got married and moved to Canoga Park. My husband Rick and I worked in Encino until we move to Colorado in 1978. We lived in the same house for 20 years, and then we built our dream house a mile away. We have two daughters. Jen is 26 and is a single mom. She and my beautiful grandson live close by. k and I will have been married 28 years this March. We will semi-retire next year and spend most of our time traveling. We like to wind-surf , sail, kayak and bike ride. We love old houses, antiques and reading. We both like to work out.
Rick has been into service stations and garages, while I have run a windsurfing store, school and summer boat rentals. We have both participated in Anthony Robbins basket brigades and have been able to feed as many as 220 familys at Thanksgiving as well as 40 homeless baskets, The most rewarding thing I have ever done was to be a mother. The most exciting thing I have ever done was to buy a boat in Phucket and sail there. Rick and I go to southern Ca. often. We usually end up in Huntington Beach where my daughter stores our beach cruisers. Sometimes we take Olie our grandson with us. I am looking forward to our next trip out.
