First of all, I have NEVER been called Sylvia. I go by Elise. You would have known me from band, chorus and for crying to Mr. Kulakowski one time about my physics grade. (It worked; he gave me a C instead of the D I richly deserved.)I lived in Grove City, about 18 miles from VHS, which made for long bus rides. So much of these profiles don't fit us who have lived most of our lives already, but lately I've been thinking about the past 45 years, sorting out the many ways God has blessed me and mine. I have been a classical/sacred singer and music director, university bookseller and teacher.
