Life Since graduating from W.R. Odell, I've attended college and graduate school, both at East Carolina University. I received a B.S. in English in 1969, and finished my course work for the M.A. in '71. After that, I've been unable to decide what I want to be when I grow up. :> I've been a substitute high school teacher, worked in an insurance office, worked at Belk's, been a credit collector (a miserable job!), was an employment counselor (another miserable job!), and worked for 12 years in the hotel industry as a night auditor. When I decided that I could no longer stand 3rd shift, I switched to working for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, in the Department of Housing and Residence Life in 1980, where I've been ever since. I've traveled in the US, in Europe and the UK, in Canada, in Australia, and intend to do more of the same - I do LOVE to travel and see new places.
