Sylvia's Story

I have retired to a charming historical town in central Mexico, where I hear horse hooves on cobblestones outside my window, mariachis, fireworks, church bells, roosters, and FIESTAS which include lots of fireworks! I lived in Paris before moving here, but find Mexico much more do-able. I have a rescue dog who came to me with 5 cigarette holes burned in each ear. While recovering from dystemper, gangrene set in, and the little guy had to have a double earectomy. Friends abound, and there is always something juanderful to do. It is a joy to give back to this community by volunteering. I feed 65 children a week. I head a community support group to upgrade the emergency care here in San Miguel. I write a column for the local newspaper, which features my photos, have a photography business, am going to do stand up comedy for the first time this month, and am acting in a play. Reconnecting at this time of life is a such a gift! I'd love to hear from you! 2014-Sti...Expand for more
ll living in what has now been deemed The Best Citiy in the World, this beautiful, old world city is such an easy place to live. I now have another rescue dog, from the highway in front of an 18 wheeler! She's a little Malti-Poo. The Pit Bull adores her. She was born in the wild, and because she had to kill to eat out there, she's quite the little murderer! She killed a possum bigger than she, while the Pit Bull watched on in horror! I've been a member of the Improv People for two years. Performing has been a life long dream, and now I'm doing it with our comedy troupe. I'm living with my best friend in a beautiful hacienda in the country, but after a year am ready to return to town where the action is! I married right after high school, had my daughter at 22, son at 26, and never really went out and had fun of the adult kind, not the mommy kind. Here I am doing just that! It is an incredible place to live. I'm really looking forward to our 50th reunion!

Buttons models one of his craycray Burning Man outfits. Does he look a bit uncomfortable? He really does prefer being dressed more conservatively.
