Tracy's Story

I am sooo looking forward to seeing everyone at our 25 year class reunion. I missed the 20 year reunion because my eldest daughter began college the same weekend. However, I was overjoyed that Doreen, Kim and Janet were able to bring a little bit of Youngstown to Columbus. I enjoyed hearing about the delightful time that all in attendance had. (Kim, I still didn't get my mug! LOL) Just a little update since high school. I started my family shortly after high school. I had a daugher, Tierra, who is now 23 years old. I attended Youngstown State University and later graduated with an Associates Degree in Criminology. I also completed a two year certified accounting program. I moved to Columbus, Ohio approximately 10 years ago. I am married. I had a second daughter, Kennedy. Now, I have two wonderful and very different children. Tierra is calm and level headed. 1st year of law school at Capital University. Here dad (Leslie Poindexter)and I are so proud of her. Kennedy is going to the 5th grade. She likes to secretly sing, write her own songs and develop dance routines in addition to riding her bike and playing cards. She was also to represent the 4th grade for her school at the Ohio State Fair Spelling Bee but we were unable to attend. In the past two years, I decided to return to school because the Bachelor's Degree is the new high school diploma. I currently attend Ohio State Universty and I intend to finish within the next 6 months. As all of us know, working full time and going to school can very taxing but once I graduate and retire from the county (I have 20 years in), I would like to begin my second career as a teacher. I not sure which area of expertise I will pursue, but I definately want to make a difference. Although my life is super hectic, I am thankful for everyday and would not change a thing.
