Tadas's Story
College
Went to U of Rochester, then Depaul U College of Law in Chicago. Was admitted to practice before the bar in IL, OH, and NY. Later became admitted to practice in the Rep of Lithuania. Was Chief Legal Counsel to the Chairman (Speaker) of Lithuania's parliament. Ran his (Prof. Vytautas Landsbergis') presidential campaign. Was founding dean of the only American-style law school in Europe. Taught law in Lithuania, Brazil, Spain, and the USA (at Stetson, Florida's oldest law school). Wrote over a dozen laws, passed in Lithuania.
Wrote "Comparative Contract Law" - 660 pages, a casebook published by a major American lawbook publisher (Carolina Academic Press). Wrote a 300 page teachers' manual for the same. Edited a book on White Collar Crime. Published a citation manual in the Lithuanian language. Authored a number of scholarly articles in the legal field, including upon European Union law.

At invite of Estonian government, was, along with the executive prez of the American Assoc. of Law Schools, on the outside accreditation team inspecting Estonian law schools in 2000.
Have lived in Florida, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Virginia, New York (incl. NYC), Pennsylvania. Also Lithuania, Belgium, and for shorter periods (while teaching), in Spain and Brazil. Also taught at the Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida for a semester, and in 2009 I taught a short course in Hanoi, Vietnam.
In 1992, I was awarded the highest American intelligence award, the National Intelligence Medal of Achivement, by the then Director, Central Intelligence,(later, SECDEF) Robert Gates. In 2008 I was awarded the title of Cavalier (equiv of knighthood) by President Adamkus of Lithuania.
In 2014 I won first place in the Anspach Challenge in epee fencing in Brussels, Belgium.
