Talanna's Story
Life
After high school, I attended Southern University. When at Southern, I got an opportunity to visit many places in the United States. I met numerous people and have pretty much stayed in contact with most of them. I got an opportunity to participate in two summer internships. One at Delphi Automotives-Troy, MI and one at General Motors-Waterford, MI. You can say that both of those cities are Detroit.
I graduated from Southern University May 2002 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. I accepted a job with General Motors in Arlington, TX. I worked there for a year before I quit. I left a very well paying job. What was I thinking? It just wasn't for me. I have decided to become a nurse, so I am going back to school Fall 04. I figured that I am smart enough to do college one more time.
I am currently married to the lovely Spencer Pace, whom I met in college. He is my rock and I love him very much. We don't have any children yet. We have to prepare ourselves mentally, plus we have to finish school one mor...Expand for more
e time.
Spencer and I are currently living in Texas. He is interning at Texas Instruments. We will be moving to Ann Arbor Michigan where he will be attending graduate school.
I am currently living in Ypsilanti, MI, which is pretty much Ann Arbor. My husband and I attend school here and can't wait to move on with our lives after school. We want to have about three kids and figure the sooner we finish school, the sooner we can start a family.
I have now moved to Tucson, Arizona. My husband is working at Texas Instruments. Yes, they have a site in Tucson. I am working at University Medical Center at the University of Arizona. I will be attending the Bachelor of Science program for nursing.
This summer I will be moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As of today, the plan is to attend nursing school. I know, it sounds like I have not picked a career yet, but sometimes life takes you in many different places before you find what's right for you. I have a great support system, so I am going for it. Wish me luck!
