Tami's Story

Failures have not destroyed who I am - they have only made me a stronger version of whom He made me to be.
How can one learn, improve or reach any area of perfection without enduring failures along the journey?
A bit of a helpless romantic who still believes in love ... it exists if I allow it to find me instead of chasing after the elusiveness of fairy tales.

More about Tami: "A child of God. A mom, daughter, sister, aunt, faithful friend, passionate seeker of one to share my most intimate moments with. I have a 29 year old daughter that both time, space, & the need for her ultra-independence has stolen my little cowgirl right from my very grasp. She is an advanced stage cancer survivor and the poster child for grit & toughness. I also have a 24 year old son who was every mother's dream child. I am merely struggling to maintain a glimpse of the very boy that he once was in hopes that our Father instills just a bit back to me one of these days. He served as a Marine. I have been a RN for 39+ years - unable to work for the last 11 years due to increasing spinal disease & progressive bilateral osteogenesis of both knees. I pray for healing. I am also a dental asst. with radiography certification & I am also a veterinarian assistant. My passion is horses. I used to show & train Arabs. & Morgans. I also have an affinity for log cabins. I enjoy the tranquility of the water, & the mountains. I enjoy art, swimming, reading, taking drives in the country, traveling, camping, fine dining, Music is truly the soothing spirit of my soul. Although I mostly listen to country & contemporary christian, I also enjoy pop, urban, ballads, classic rock, R&B, alternative ... almost anything except opera & rap. I enjoy rodeos, Bible study, the author Nicholas Sparks (& so many others), & I adore my children, & animals. (order may change without warning on any given day!) Blessed be.
Starting over is painful. I am not a loner. However I have found that being with someone who vows their love to you yet isolates themselves from you both emotionally and physically ... is a loneliness much greater than any person need endure. It is not love, it is not living, but it is abusive in the purest of senses. Find yourself. Find your worth. Find your happy place - that sweet spot ... and learn to live again, in hope. You must know yourself, be happy, and move in a forward direction - before you can be happy with anyone else.
And then he said, "You've never known a love like mine ... and a tear traveled my cheek on to his open hand. And he caught that tear and blew it away.
Smiling, he looked at me ... "The next will only be happy ones." And then there were no more “whispers” ... only outright spoken words ... of truth.
