Life
Hi 1980 Apollo Ridge High School Graduates. 27 years later... where did the time go?? I was routed to this site by an internet advertisement and, what can I say, curiosity got the best of me. I am still a resident of the wonderful town of Apollo. Made it as far as having a Vandergrift address but came back to Apollo several years ago. I actually live where I grew up in Spring Church. I am married (for a second time). My husband's name is Wade and we have 4 children. We have a 9 year old Billy, a 7 year old Jacob and twin 4 year olds Sarah and Matthew. I graduated from Nursing School in 1987 and worked in the Intensive Care Units at UPMC Presbyterian most of my career (my passion is cardiothoracic surgery and trauma). I have recently transferred to Indiana Regional Medical Center and work as a Nurse Manager. I still have my love of horses, although I had to have my trusted old gal Simone put down a couple of years ago. Wade and I spend all of our "leisure" time with the kids. While many our age are beginning to enjoy the "kids finally out of the house" freedom, we have many more years before we can enjoy that luxury. That being said, of all of the accomplishments I have achieved, I consider my children the greatest accomplishment of all!!! We love to go camping and hiking and we love the beach as well. Billy is a born hunter, just like his dad. Jacob loves to fish, he is my "active" one and keeps everyone else going!! Matthew and Sarah (the twins) are incredible. They are SO different. Sarah, the poor thing, is a mirror image of myself, dark complexion, dark hair and eyes. Matthew, on the other hand is a little blonde hair, blue eyed cutey!! Sarah is quiet and reserved and Matthew is a little imp!! I don't know, they say having young children at our age keeps us young, some days I feel every bit as old as I am if not older!!
