Life Wow, so much has happened. I obviously graduated from Eastwood High School in 1985, going on to El Paso Community College for a few years. I then began working in 1989 at a nursing home, where I met my future husband. We were married in 1991, moving to Houston, Texas. In March 1992, I began working at NASA Johnson Space Center as the Assistant Contract Administrator. Our contract handled all of the Astronaut physicals, training, etc. We also performed physicals on all Flight Controllers, Air Force Flying Class III's, FAA's, etc. This was a fantastic time in my life. I received the Space Flight Awareness Award in 1993. I had the opportunity to witness a live launch and have a tour in Florida. I also witnessed the "making" of the movie Armegeddon. I met with Bruce Willis. Nice guy! As a part of our contract with NASA, we have the Human Test Support Group, where there is a pool the size of a football field. This is where the Astronauts are trained by our guys. I also was there for the filming of Apollo 13. Eugene Kranz, who was the Flight Director at that time, is a very good friend of mine. I was also a part of negotiating contracts as well as being the "can do" for NASA Civil Servants. Being close to the astronauts was a major plus. They are such wonderful individuals.
