Tammy's Story
I was in a hurry to get on with my life after high school! I graduated early and went to work for two stock brokerage firms... E.F. Hutton and Boettcher & Co. I met my future husband, Ray Petit, in 1989, and I decided to quit working and attend college at UCD to major in biology with a minor in chemistry, to then become a veterinarian. We were married in 1993 and our daughter, Alexis, was born in 1994. I decided to take a year off to spend with my daughter and then finish school but that never happened...
After a year, another business opportunity presented itself, and I started a conference and event planning business. One of my main clients was the Women's Success Forum. experience. And my next chapter began...
My husband Ray had been diagnosed with spinal cord cancer in 1996 and suffered from this awful disease for years. After numerous surgeries and painful radiation and chemo his suffering finally ended and we lost him in 2003.
I was now alone with a daughter to raise on my own. We had been purchasing investment properties since 1996, so I started this full time and created my real estate investment business, which I am still doing today and also started a partnership with a team called The Meridian Group and we specialize in residential real estate in the Denver Metro area with empahsis on Douglas County.
I met a wonderful man named Chris and his two sons in 2004 and we are now on to the next chapter! We currently live in Castle Rock with my daughter Alexis and his son Ian and our two dogs!! We love it!
