Tamyra's Story
Everyone from Alvin that know Joel & I will find this funny! Jennifer Greer & I were close friends from the age of five. My mother & her mother have been friends for over 30 yrs. I always knew that she had 3 brothers and NEVER met any of them. I had always heard about "Joel"... "so cute"...Blah,blah,blah...
I never saw him or met him over all of the years that Jenn & I were friends.
About 5 yrs. ago, my mother ran into their's and said that I should call Jenn because she was living in Houston with her brother Joel and we should get together for lunch....
Well, we got together alright! Jenn and I moved in together and Joel & I met for the FIRST time and have been together since. Three yrs. later, we had a beautiful boy and now we are married. Now, been together five yrs.
It is wierd how we were both born in Alvin and were only 1 yr. apart, all of those yrs. and never met. Oh well! All of our freinds already know eachother!
Whew! what a relief... and a time saver!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Roberta Powers, because the last time I saw her was i...Expand for more

If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to my church, then spend the rest on real estate, bills and my son's education.
My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as boring.
My first job was at Joe's BBQ, where I got paid min. wage to work the line and wash dishes. What I remember most about it is I got into a water hose fight with a friend and we both got fired. .
I remember when I was 10 or 11, there was a giant snake that was loose behind our house and the fire dept, police and many neighbors were out looking for it and I never wanted to go into my treehouse again out of fear.
Shop, eat sushi, drink sake and spend "quality" time with my man!
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have cold air conditioning, uncapped commission incentives, and expense account to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero is my son. My inspiration and drive comes from my day to day with my little boy!
I go koo koo for the food network! I watch it all of the time and I use all of the tips on my meals at home.
