Tanya's Story
Life
After attending University of Puget Sound from 1987-1991, I moved to Portland, Oregon to go to Portland State University's Masters in psychology program. After I got my MS in 1997 I realized that I couldn't get much of a job with that and so got a second MS degree in Administration of Justice. That lead to a position at Portland State University as a researcher/program evaluator.
Over the years, I moved around the university to different departments working as a research methodologist and data analyst. I spent five year with the PSU Regional Research Institute as I have worked on my doctorate in Educational Leadership.

job at Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing where I am the manager of Academic Affairs. Basically, I am responsible for the operational management of Academic Affairs which has oversight on the student related activities in the school. I am also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the teaching programs. While this job has been a great career move for me, it has slowed down my dissertation work but hope to be done with me degree by the end of the summer 2007.
Any spare time is spent with my 9 year old daughter, Ava. She is starting 4rd grade and she loves soccer, softball, and swimming. We like to swim, bike, and watch movies.
