Tate's Story
Greetings everyone,
Well for anyone interested, once I left Butler I went to Troy University and played baseball. 3 years, 2 knee and 1 ankle surgery later I wasn't playing baseball anymore. Came home worked at a few places and played softball for many years with a team of basically Butler graduates. Had a lot of fun, memories and a lot of success with that team.
In 1988 got hired by Huntsville Fire and Rescue and got married to 1982 Butler graduate Simone Lanza. Been with both 20 years now! Captain with the Fire Dept still low man on the totem pole at home (just kidding dear!)
Have 2 kids, one boy & one girl, gotta say we were blessed with pretty good kids. Son is 16 and driving now and daugther is 12 and a little ...Expand for more

I have done many things over the years besides baseball and softball. I have been involved off and on with drag racing for the past 30 years including a while where I owned and raced my own operation. Lots of fun, lots of expense and took up to much time when you have kids. I hope to get back into it once the kids are own their own.
I now collect Jack Daniels items. I like the history, the uniquness and the people involved. Never knew there was an international interest in a little distillery an hour from home.
