Hello to all my Emerson family, I just want to let all of you know that you all made my life at Emerson, wonderful and I spoke so highly of Emerson to my children that 2 of them graduated from Emerson. When I first came to Emerson from 25th ave and Beckman Junior High I was in the 8th grade and then when I started the 9th grade I was told that if I stayed at Emerson that my GPA wouldn't be the same because there weren't any accelerated classes. I was told that I could go to Emerson in the morning and Roosevelt in the afternoon so that's what I did but I hated Roosevelt, even though I had a lot of friends there because th...Expand for more
ats the school you attended when you left Beckman. I soon opted to stay at Emerson all day because it was more like family and it just felt right. The feeling of belonging was absolutely wonderful and I just wanted to use this format to tell as many people as possible what a difference most of you made in my life in a positive way. The people who didn't make a difference was small and probably because I didn't know them well enough for whatever reason. I hope this message lifts your collective spirits and lets you know that you matter and you make a difference even when you don't think you do. Love you all Sheila Tate.
