I met my husband, Matt, while still in Houston. (Moved there after leaving Missouri - back to Texas!) Matt played for the Houston Oilers and when he got hurt (5th and last knee surgery) and was cut from the team, we moved to Corpus and got married (trying to keep this really short). We had our twin girls 9 months and 5 days after getting married - nothing like getting right to business! We lived in town, close to the beach until it was time for the girls to start school. We moved out to the country so they could go to a small school. I got the importance of that while I lived in Missouri! We have been at our current home for over 17 years. When the girls were little, they showed horses all over. We have hauled them all over Texas and Oklahoma for various shows. When they got into 3rd grade, they started showing pigs. Our youngest was born right before that in 1994. We have 3 girls. They have all raised and shown pigs for as long as I can remember. We raise and breed them ourselves here at our farm. The girls have been very successful with their little "home grown" pigs. Winning a Grand and Resere Grand at our county show (the largest in the state of Texas) and placing in the top 10 at the San Antonio Stock Show regularly. My husband Matt is now permanently disabled and is home 24/7 with me. This was quite an adjustment, but we are doing great now. We tell everyone we are not only soul mates, we are CELL MATES!
