Tawnya's Story

Life I went to Leigh and was to be part of the class of 1990 but that didn't happen but I never gave up on my dream and now this year I will receive my diploma from Maep class of 2006.Life has been challenging at times especially when my grandfather past away in April of 1998. Here is some of the things I like to do listen to country and 80's dance music, watch some of the crazy reality shows on t.v. as well as csi, law and order, amusement parks still like roller coasters, playing with my cat, reading, concerts, and being with my niece and nephews is great. years that when it comes to learning when one way is not working for you and another is well put all your heart in soul into the one that works best for you and who cares what others may think or feel the grades count more than anything else. I learn better at my own pace and not taking so many classes at once thanks to adult education Maep my dream of getting that diploma is coming true and it's never too late. Workplace I have worked for several places since 1990 the first was Safeway after I left there I worked for a roofing company for a year or so then moved to a roofing supply doing office work and taking orders. I have also worked for Orchard Supply and Home Depot after home depot I took a little time off for personal reasons and worked a couple temp jobs. I then worked for Southern Lumber and now I am working for Borders Books at oakridge mall I started as a cashier and have been moving up the ladder the work environment is great.
