Ted's Story
Life
I am getting used to this site but find it somewhat complicated. I remember numerous of the names in the 63 Poly site.
Many of you helped me in numerous ways. Like Leroy Depkin who let me copy his homework. Jim Damon who taught me math and later we met strangely in Chile in 1972.
I live in Chicago, have been married for 48 years. Nancy I met in college when she was at Smith. I have 2 grandchildren. Son married to an Italian. I get to Baltimore. but less with the passing in 2015 of my Father, Poly '27.
When I graduated from Poly I went to Lehigh for a year with Chuck Adams and Tony Farinacci. I wasn't real happy...Expand for more
there and there were some problems entering as a sophmore. I headed on to Yale, Tony to Hopkins. I have lost contact with them and I regret this. I also lost contact when living in California with Chuck Miller and Bill Taylor.
I enjoyed the 50th reunion, and will get back for the next one. I regret deeply that many old friends did not make the reunion; hope they come next time.
I teach at University of Illinois, chemical engineering.
I consider my time at Poly the best educational experience in all ways, and I have great respect for the teachers and friends who I made while there. It was a great school.
