Ted's Story
Life
Enjoying life as a UCC pastor in Mansfield, MA. Married to Betsy with 3 kids of which 1 has 2 more years in college. Starting construction on our Vermont retirement home just north of Mount Snow where "elbow grease" will translate into significant cost savings while also allowing me to customize the design. Hobbies & activities include: kayaking, golf, skiing, cycling, humanitarian assistance, woodworking, camping, high power rocketry, reading, photography & computers.
We are thrilled to be back in the region close to family and friends. Supporting our Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Celtics, Bruins & New England Revolution provide a lot of enjoyment. I'm very much involved in intercultural and interfaith dialogue...something much needed these days as we try to weave together a very fractured world. Hope to catch up with everyone!
College
Had a great second roommate at college. Easy going. Fun...Expand for more
ny. A guy who cared about people and did a lot of great things. The only drawback was the poor guy suffered night terrors. I think we'd been rooming together for about a couple of weeks when in the middle of the night he start screaming at the top of his lungs. Peel me off the ceiling!!! Let's just say Stephen King couldn't have dreamed up the blood curdling sounds from his bunk. What an adrenaline rush!
Another memorable moment came as I was studying in my room on Orchard Hill at UMass. The window looked out upon the "bowl" between buildings with lovely pines rising up in the space created by the open "U". All at once bodies started streaming through the pines. First a few and then dozens, then hundreds...all wearing sneakers to adorn their birthday suits. Oh my! The entire "bowl" filled with wannabe naturists during the first UMass Streak-a-thon. No, I didn't feel any desire to join the herd mentality!
