Terence's Story
School
Since high school I started college in TN, and then my parents passed away in sophmore year (1988), so I quit school for a while. I got back into school in 1990 and and moved to DC in 1991.
College
Graduated from Catholic University with BS in Architecture. During school I was fortunate enough to take a few trips overseas. For spring break one year I went to Switzerland, with stops in Austria and Southern France. My last semester I did study abroad in Barcelona Spain for 4 months and it was great. While in Spain we went on two 10 day trips to southern Spain (Madrid. Cordoba, Granada, and Seville) and northern Spain (Bolboa, San Sabastian, Gerona, then to Paris).
Workplace
I have been working in the DC area ...Expand for more
for 10 years. Just out of school I worked for The Onyxgroup (architects and planners). I did military master planning for Onyx in Pensacola Fl. for 3 years. After Onyx I worked for a land development firm Greenhorne & O'Mara for three years, mostly around MD and VA. Then I worked for SGH, a firm based in Boston and did building forensic work. After getting my Bachelors in Architecture I worked for a DuPont Circle architect-Morrison Architects. Morrison did a lot of embassy work including Moraccan and Finnish, and Argentinian. We also do high end houses and building renovations. I now work for a Tyson's Corner Firm, Davis Carter Scott doing new construction with an emphasis on LEED certified green buildings in the DC area.
