Terence's Story

Hey, everybody! After graduating from Manor High School (currently Woodrow Wilson High School) in Portsmouth, VA, I attended Norfolk State College (University) :) Well, Norfolk State was an exciting time for me. I met so many interesting and wonderful people and the entire experience helped to form and shape me into the person that I am today. I'd love to see some of the people who were in school with me, and a few I have seen just recently. But there are many more who seem to be hiding somewhere or something! :) Anyway, I graduated in December 1977 from NSC (U) as a Music Education major. I taught for a few years and then traded in my chalk for a cross. I am the founder and pastor (for 21 years) of a growing congregation in Lynchburg, VA. I met my lovely wife, Shereé, here in Lynchburg and as of this writing (March 29, 2008) we have been married for 27 years. We have two wonderful sons, Terence (2...Expand for more
5) and Jordan (17). Ministry keeps me quite busy and I love it! I get to pastor some of the most special people in all the world and I also get to travel to other states and countries spreading the good news of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! Feel free to check out our website at: shekijah.org I was consecrated to the office of Bishop in 1998 and in 2006 I was appointed the Virginia District Bishop of the Mount Calvary Holy Church of America by my Bishop, Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr. and our Senior Bishop, Bishop Harold I. Williams. Since pastoring, I've had the privilege of traveling and ministering in Nassau, Bahamas; Sagamihara, Japan; London, England; Port au Prince, Haiti; Port au Spain, Trinidad; and Lagos, Nigeria (West Africa).
