Well, its been a long time since Mariposa High School. After Graduation, I got an "Awesome" job at County of Mariposa Recreation Department, scrubbing toilets at the Ball fields for $3.10 per hour. After opening my first paycheck, I quickly realized that I needed to go to College. I worked my way through College working part-time at Bondshu Insurance, Mariposa Title Company and other sordid odd jobs. Completed my A.A. at Merced College 1983, then my B.A. in English at CSU Stanislaus. I finally Graduated 1985. Thank you, God. Graduation day was the first day that I was able to sleep-in for the previous five years. That sleeping-in was sweet...So, I skipped the Graduation Ceremony, who cares, I made it to the Graduation Party, which was, by the way, Great! By the way, they ended up mailing me the Diploma anyway. After Graduating from CSU Stanislaus, I was offered a full Scholarship to Oxford University in order to complete my Master's degree, however, family obligations required that my life take another path.
