Teresa's Story
Hi everyone, took me long enough to sit down and finally look at this site. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Gene Gomez. We have five children, 3 boys and 2 girls. Between the five of them they have given us 8 wonderful grandkids that are absolutely the light of our lives. We have 5 grandsons and 3 grandaughters. We still live in Riverside and as much as Gene would like to move out of state I'am having a horrible time trying to make that commitment because of our family. Plus he wants to move where it is cold and I can't stand the cold. Give me the river, a boat or sea doo and I'am a happy camper. The hotter the better!!!
I work for the Alvord School District at Norte Vista High School and love it. I work with special needs kids and have for 20 years. Working with these kids helped prepare me for our 8 year old grandson, Carlos, who is severly braindamaged but has blesse...Expand for more
d us in so many ways. Gene was in concrete for 30+ years and at 58 years old went back to school and became a building inspector. He loves it and wants to work 5 more years.
I could write a book about my life so I will stop here. I think about alot of you often and would love to see all of you. Those years at Rubidoux were some of the best and worst, but never to be forgotten....I have not made the commitment to the reunion only because Carlos has been in the hospital for two weeks and I have been helping our son, Eric, out with his 2 years old, Mia, while he spends the nights at the hospital. During the day, ofter work, I go to the hospital and sit with Carlos. Eric is a single dad raising Carlos and Mia so he needs our help as much as we can give.
