Teresa's Story
In 1995, John and I moved the family to Albuquerque, New Mexico. John and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last July (and they said it wouldn't last!). As you know, a marriage takes work, and John and I are truly blessed. Here is a run down of the family. Daniel, 24, is now living in Oswego, IL and will be married in August. Daniel works in Chicago and now calls the Chicago area home. Amanda, 20, spent a semester at Oklahoma University (my alma mater) but came back to the University of New Mexico. She is deciding what she would like to do with her life.
John has been a "parts professional" for the last seven years at a local Toyota dealership. He does not miss his bricklaying days!
Since 1988, when I started my federal civil service career, I am still working in procurement (contracting). I now work for the Department of Enery National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) as a department manager. My current job is very rewarding (very busy!) as NN...Expand for more
SA has an important mission. But enough about work!
In my spare time, I enjoy hitting the pitch (soccer field) as a soccer referee. I have been a ref for over ten years and enjoy getting out in the beautiful New Mexico sun!
My parents and sister moved to New Mexico after we arrived in 1995, so we are able to enjoy family get togethers, but always enjoy our trips back to Oklahoma to visit John's family. Now that Daniel is in Chicago, John has an excuse to see his lovable Chicago Cubs.
I have fond memories of Mt. St. Mary High School. Although I was only there for my junior and senior years, I had a great time! I had fun playing tennis and basketball (even though I was horrible) and had a blast being a cheerleader. I want to thank the other members of the squad as well as the great pep club officers for a great senior year! I look back now and realize that we were pretty lucky to be in that environment.
