Teresa's Story
Hello everyone, Marriage and I do not get along. Been there twice. First with Dave Pingel, just a few years after graduation, but Dave ended it. Next with Dave Marcinkowski. Son, Grant was born April 1992. Marriage ended 1994. Grant and I have lived in Shelby Township ever since.
After graduation, I was employed at Farmer Jacks, Target and Sterling Diamond Tool (dad's company). Enrolled at Baker College when Farmer Jacks started having trouble. I'm a part time student, who has earned a certificate in Architectural/Construction Technology,
graduating with honors. Presently working towards getting my Associates in the same field.
Recently, Grant decided it was time to live with his dad. So now I'm home with my 2 cats, 2 birds + day old baby bird and my 11 month old Pug, named Meeka. Meeka is just like having another child, constantly wanting my attention.
As for my family, my dad passed away in 1993, mom (75), sister (Trina 53) and grandmother (93) are still all doing well. Trina has 3 kids, 3 grandkids and one more due in March. I am in a relationship that has lasted longer than both my marriages put together. Who needs the same last name?
Well it is now July 2012. Alot has changed since I post the above information.
June 2010, Grant graduated from Utica High School. Grant entered into the Navy July 2011. He is now a Corpmen in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Beaufort, SC until 2014. He is loving every minute of it. June 2012, I finally gratuated from Baker College with an Associates degree in Architectural/Construction Technology, and graduated with honors. ntly looking for a job in my field. Once again I am single.
Well it is now December 2013. Once again a lot has been going on in my life.
I always thought 13 was an unlucky number. Well 2013 proved that all wrong. March 2nd, Dave Pingel and I started to rekindle our relationship. Yes you read that right, The good Lord gave us a second chance to find peace, love and happiness with each other after being divorced for 27 years. We both learned from our past mistakes. We communicate with each other and don't sweat the small stuff. This time around has been great.
My Son, Grant (21) is still enjoying the Navy life. He is stationed in Beaufort, SC. and works at the Naval hospital. June 15th he took another step in life. He married his sweetheart, Hayley. They had a beautiful wedding her in MI.
My family are all doing as well as expected. Grandma is 97 and doing pretty good. Mom is 79 and also doing well. She is a snow bird, living in FL for the winter months. I lost contact with my sister, but do know that she is back living in MI from TX.
Dave's and my relationship went to the next step. October I decided to move back into our previous marital home in St. Clair Shores, Mi. It sure was strange moving back into the house I left in 1986. December 2nd, Dave and I decided to re marry each other and take full advantage of the second chance we receive. Life is way too short to go it alone. I now have 3 step sons (24, 22, and 16). Dave and I are so looking forward to making lots of brand new memories. We can't change what happened in our pass, but sure can enjoy the future.
