Teri's Story
Hello Class of 1978 !!
Back then, I was Teri Wilson, but for the past 36 years I have been Teri Tedmon, married to my husband, Scott, living in the Sacramento area. We have three adult children and five grandsons. We have so much to be thankful for ❤️
In high school, my best friends were Sandy Tuthill, Mary Tracy, Lisa Brennan and Linda Gilbeau. I was shy and not very involved in school activities. However, when I was 19 years old, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior and my whole life changed. A new person began emerging as I became involved in sports & recreation in college and realized my athletic talents, which also lead me to meet my husband.
Through the next 15 years of being a "stay at home mom", I had plenty of time to get involved in our children's Christian school education either in the classroom or by substitute teaching P.E. for elementary, junior high and high school. I continued with my own fitness pursuits while providing opportunities for our kids to sample various sports. Our oldest daughter chose gymnastics, which turned into a full-ride scholarship to UCLA and 2 NCAA championship rings. Our second daughter loved being a "flyer" for her cheerleading squad and competing in varsity tennis at Rio Americano H.S. Our son played baseball and basketball, but his sport of choice was varsity tennis at Jesuit H.S.

c injuries, both for care and prevention. Then came my desire for sports performance training, but I wasn't satisfied by only learning about it, I wanted to test it on myself. In 1999, I began competing in local triathlon events at the "sprint" and "olympic" distances. I trained smarter and watched my race times improve. This lead me into certification as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. I now teach other people, especially women, how they can achieve success in their own lives through cardio and strength training - no matter what their starting point. I love teaching the tough classes...Cycling, X-bike, Boot Camp, Sports Conditioning, Group Strength Training and Ab Attack. My most recent addition of certifications has been a RYT - 200 hour Power Yoga teacher training through CorePower Yoga. This allows me to teach Vinyasa Yoga classes in various studios and fitness gyms as well as blend my PT experience to teach Yoga Sculpt classes.
My husband has always been a highly competitive athlete and has constantly encouraged our kids to do their best each day in pursuit of their own athletic excellence. He has set the example through the years by working hard for his family's provision and is recognized as one of the most respected criminal defense attorneys in the area. Yet he was always able to be present during the kid's games, tournaments and matches for involvement in their lives.
That's my story in summary form. What's yours?
