Life
So tclark five two six at g mail dot com might get us past being a Gold Member which I am not. Can you believe it? I did marry Jerry Clark (not the tall one!!!) AND we are still married! We ran away to Lake Tahoe in 1974 and ended up in Carson Valley in 1977. We have a little house on 2 1/2 acres, but not tennis courts and swimming pools ... in fact I am still trying to get the dairy cow smell out of my youngest son's bedroom carpet (I won't even tell you what we found under my oldest son's carpet after he when to college!!!). Jerry and I have slowed down the career rat race and live quite simply. Jerry used to flyfish while I read romance novels and baby sit Lacy, our midlife crisis yellow lab, by the lakes and streams. But now Jerry is a Master SCUBA Diver, so I sit under palapas and drink margaritas while reading romance novels :-) We are waiting for some new business venture to fall into our laps but not actively searching. Since I wrote this several years ago, life threw us a curve ball. We lost our youngest son, Nicholas, to a manipulative woman and methamphetamine. Shortly after we lost Nicholas, we had to put down Lacy. Now I go throughout our county, primarily to our 9th grade health classes, telling our story and speaking to drug abuse. Not how I envisioned spending my golden years. By the time we all reach our age, all of us have had our battles and difficulties and I work to remember that others have experienced pain in their lives as well.
AGAIN IT'S BEEN SEVERAL YEARS SINCE UPDATING THIS PAGE. AFTER 35 YEARS IN OUR LITTLE HOME, WE ARE TRYING TO DOWNSIZE OUR LAND TO A MORE MANAGEABLE SIZE. JERRY IS RETIRED AND HIS CURRENT PHYSICAL STATE DOES NOT ALLOW HIM TO KEEP UP WITH THE OUTDOOR MAINTENANCE DEMANDS. i AM WORKING FULL TIME AS THE FELONY DUI DIVERSION PROGRAM IN OUR COUNTY AS CASE MANAGER. i CONTINUE TO BE INVITED EVERY FALL AND SPRING TO THE LOCAL 9TH GRADE HEALTH CLASSES. i WILL GO AND SPEAK WHERE EVER I CAN AFFORD TO GO.
