My memories of BPHS are all positive. I had fun and because I was painfully shy I tried to be as outgoing as possible. I came out of it unscathed - after all, it was high school! I hope old friends remember me as being kind. I hope I was kind. If I got one do-over it would be to BE in the present. I look back and see myself always looking to what was to come and I didn't get the full experience of living in the now. The wildest thing (I was so wild!) I ever did was coming to a dance with Sylvia (Reyes) sophomore year and pretending like we had been partying before hand. And, uh, we hadn't. My first job was at Toys R Us, where I got paid very little to be a cashier and shelf stocker. What I remember most about it is I had to say my name was Tina because Ruth (Aguilar?) had the name Terri because someone else had the name Ruth and so on... . I got married in 1973, worked full-time and went to school part time while my husband went to school and worked full time. When he became a teacher, we started our family and moved to Santa Clarita. I went back to school and then opened a pre-school, which I owned for fifteen years. After that I worked in public education for ten years and when my daughter got married I started getting offers to plan and coordinate functions so I retired from the workforce to have fun!
