Terri's Story
Life
I am currently a stay at home mother. I enjoy home schooling my children and being a part of their lives while they still want to "hang out" with me. They are the joy of my life. Currently, my son is 7 years old and my daughter is almost 10. Isabelle is a year old now and doing wonderfully!
School
High School was a tumultous time for me. Cary Newton made things interesting. (I still think about him often and pray for him every time I think of it). Then I transferred to Lewis County High. There are a few good memories there (thanks to Shawn) but altogether uneventful.
College
I graduated from Drury University with a BS in social sciences. I double majored in psychology and sociology. It was hard work (I juggled being a stay at home mother in the process) but well worth the education and the friendships along the way. My f...Expand for more
avorite teacher and mentor, Cheryl Shirley, inspired me more than she knows.
Workplace
Other than two summer jobs prior to the military, the Army has been all that I know. I worked as a surgical technician for 8 years prior to getting out. It was a great job at that time in my life.
Military
I enlisted in 1992 right out of high school. I did my basic at Ft Leonard Wood Missori and then received my advance individual training as a surgical technician/operating room technician at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio Texas. My duty assignments took me to Germany, Colorado, and Alabama. My husband is currently active duty Army so we have also lived in Missouri and North Carolina. We are currently in Texas and enjoying that for the time being. My time in the military was great but priorities call. Hope to hear from my military buddies soon.
