Terri's Story
I'm a 1969 graduate of Portage Northern. I wasn't involved in a whole lot in school, other than being in the concert choir. I was more involved in my church youth group and was also involved with the local Youth for Christ organization, singing in a vocal group that traveled to various churches in the area. I went to Western Michigan for one year and then transferred to a small Christian college where I met my husband. We were both in the concert choir and also in a vocal group together. nd fulfilled.
Our children are all married, and our daughter and her husband have two children, a daughter, 7, and a son, 5. They all live fairly close and have been huge blessings in our lives. For the past two years we've been living in Michigan in a lake-front home. We have several good friends who moved to the lake before us, so we decided to join them.
Though faced with some very challenging and stressful times in our lives, we have found satisfaction in knowing that our Lord cares for us and is near to us in every situation. He has given us much to be thankful for, including some of those trying times, where we grew to know and love Him more and more.
I've been out of touch with high school friends for 30 some years. I'm not sure what I'm looking for in signing up with this website, but I've been curious about some of my friends and thought it might be nice to open the door to reconnecting with a few.
I guess that's it in a nutshell. If you remember me and want to say hello, I would love to hear from you.
