Terri Cramer:  

I'm a 1969 graduate of Portage Northern. I wasn't involved in a whole lot in school, other than being in the concert choir. I was more involved in my church youth group and was also involved with the local Youth for Christ organization, singing in a vocal group that traveled to various churches in the area. I went to Western Michigan for one year and then transferred to a small Christian college where I met my husband. We were both in the concert choir and also in a vocal group together. We married in 1972. I completed my degree in 1974 with a BA in Sociology. I worked for a couple of years, and then we started a family, ending up with a daughter and 2 sons. I was a stay-at-home mom until my youngest was in 4th grade, and I then started working in the school system as a teacher aide. I continued doing that for 12 years, until my husband, who had been a college administrator for 12 years, became the president of the college we attended.
