Theresa's Story

Funny how it's possible to believe that you were invisible in high school... not much to notice... then you find out that you actually possessed an actual physical form walking around the campus.... and people DID notice. A part of that makes me sad, wondering "who did I miss?" while I was going from class-to-class, or ditching out in the choir room? The other part of me is happy to be finding out now, rather than never, that the girl in the short little sun dress was someone's "first crush." :o) I know I would say I've "evolved" since high school. I would hope most of us have. I've learned that being a victim is a waste of time - get help - get healthy - stop whining - enjoy life. I put in my Q & A that my friends would say I'm supportive, positive, AND a big flirt. I'm here to clarify the last descriptor: They would DESCRIBE me as that, however, the truth of the matter is that it's very important to me that anyone who gets to know me understands that I believe they are unique, special and valuable... my girlfriends, seeing interactions with my guy friends, call that "flirting." I don't think the guys see it that way... either that or I could also be described as terribly "naive," you decide. There's a certain someone I'd love to see again, and perhaps, in reality, for the first time. You know who you are...it can't ha...Expand for more
ppen soon enough for me, but I know it will happen in due time. I really enjoy all kinds of sports - mostly the ones that move quickly (unless I'm watching a baseball game at the stadium). Go Dodgers - Lakers - Chargers! Recently I decided that I want to train to run in the local 5K fitness challenge next fall. I've got one year to get myself up to, what is that, a little over 3 miles? I think I can make that happen. (wow, this sure give you a lot of space to talk about yourself, doesn't it? Hey, I saw that yawn!!!) I want to travel. I've spent my entire life on this continent (with the exception of Hawaii a couple of times) mostly in Southern California - I think Ireland, Scotland, Italy, the Bahamas... they might just be ready for me. Have passport, will travel! (Just got mine this past April.) (hey, that little "Story Wizard" over there has some cool suggestions....) "What happened to your first crush?" Hmmmm.... I may never know. I just hope he's happy with his life now. - Ooh... I get one do-over? I suppose the one thing I would do differently is open my eyes when I was being noticed in high school. Who knows where I'd be now or how my life would be different. Okay, I boring myself here... hope I haven't bored you, too. I'm glad you stopped by... and if you got this far in my Q & A, well, you deserve a medal!
