Terri's Story

Life I am married and living in Arlington with my family. We have two children and a grandchild. Brittany is 21, Blaise is 14 and Braedon is 4. My husband Mike is a 777 pilot with Delta Air Lines and a Captain in the Naval Reserves, with his current command in Hawaii. He spends his time in Hawaii(Navy), Dubai, Tel Aviv, Shanghai and any flight that takes about 12-14 hours to get there. Brings me back newspapers from his layovers, and it is really interesting to see news about the U.S.A. from different points of view. Also, cool to work a Yiddish/Jewish terminology crossword puzzle. Requires alot of googling. Movies for a $1 from Shanghai are in English, with English subtitles from a Chinese point of view. It's hilarious! Stupid fun. Got to get out more. My son has a passport and likes to use it. He has been traveling for years, and likes when he gets bumped to First Class. We go to the beach whenever our schedule allows. Of course, because of his early training, he doesn't limit his plans to US beaches and likes to plan global. He is in High School at Pantego Christian Academy and is involved in 2 different youth groups. Blaise is also a competitive swimmer, and went to state for his school where he placed 2nd, 6th and 8th overall. Keeps him out of trouble and in shape. $900 a month to feed him. Blaise inherited his father's musical skills, and plays the electric guitar, bass and drums by ear. He is auditioning for Booker T. Washington, School of Performing and Visual Arts,so say a little prayer. Our grandson believes that he is a super hero at a cellular level. Since we have promoted this to him since birth, he has always worn hero costumes and underwear to school and out in public. Of course, we let him do this. My husband and I raise our grandson, so he gets spoilage from every level of our family. He is currently in pre-school at Pantego Christian Academy and we plan to keep him there. God bless grandchildren! I have been a business development executive and t...Expand for more
hen, consultant in the Information Technology Industry for years. Got my real estate license years ago, and am now successfully transitioning careers. Wanted to stop the business travel and stay close to home. Cool for me, bad for the family. Small hiccup with daughter's teen years delayed this transition, but it is happening now. This is where I make my money, per se. But, I love to cook, travel, entertain, remodel, garden and write. I am a Francophile, with Paris being my annual destination of choice. So much history, so little time. I don't find the French to be rude, just manners oriented. If I mind my manners and don't talk "Texas" loud, they spoil me rotten. I will be going to Hawaii (Oahu, Ford Island, North Shore), Italy, South Africa and South Korea this year. Helps to fly free. Have recently taken up supporting College Women's Basketball, with The Lady Aggies being my #1 team. Gig 'Em! Diana Dedwylder (John's mom) and I are friends and I go with her to the games to see her granddaughter play. Perfect place for an ex-cheerleader with no team to yell for. You get to yell, scream and shout stuff at the refs - basically, act really bad. Stuff they would lock you up for on a regular day. They put in front and let me do my stuff. Perfect. My parents are still living in their home on Black Oak Lane, married right at 50 years and busy. They travel extensively with their friends. He still thinks that my mother is the prettiest, sweetest woman alive. And yes, my Dad is still just as mean as he ever was - to guys. To me - he's just a big teddy bear. Their children, grandchildren and now great-grandchild are the center of their life. And - they have set up their home for them, so that we have a hard time getting them to come home. Gotta love it!! Starting pilates and training for marathons. I have always run, but am actually going to have a "goal" now. As long as it doesn't mess up my pedicure, I'm cool. My family and I wish you a wonderfully, blessed Day! Terri
