Terry's Story
Before you read this I want to apologize for being long winded I just thought it was important to get my story out.
Hello everyone, it's great to see people trying to keep in contact.I have been a Christian since 1988. That doesn't make me any different than anybody else except that I live my life for Christ.I just want everyone to know that I love life and love what's ahead for me when this old body of mine breaks down. By the way I'm not going to force my beliefs on anyone but I will try to answer any questions you have about my faith if you ask, I try to live by example but I'm far from perfect so forgive me for that.
I lived in Chelmsford from the time I was about 4 years old in 1960 until I left for PEI in January of 1972 when I was in Grade 9. After moving to PEI I attended Montague Regional High School I lost contact with all my friends from the Chelmsford area. MRHS and CVDCS were fun places to go to school.I always wondered what happened to my old friends from Chemy and Montague.I'm a very social person who loves connecting with people.I'm not as shy as I was when I was younger.If any of my old friends or aquaintences would like to reminice with me from CVDCS or MRHS I'm all ears don't be shy just drop me a note.
My big acomplishment in high school was running track and being on the Canadian Track & Field Team. I also competed on the PEI track team. I have my Cross Country coach Mr. Pajala at CVDCS to thank for that. You instilled the love to run in me by encouraging me to quit smoking and do something positive with my life. I was lucky enough to be presented a silver medal by the Queen for the 1500 meter run. The Queen isn't such a big deal today but back then for a teenager it was a really cool thing. I was fortunate enough to run the 3,000 meters in the 1973 Canada games wasn't last haha. I have my track coach Mr. Tatrie at MRHS to thank for that Glen you were a blessing to me you kept me out of trouble by keeping me busy training all the time. I'm not complaing it was a lot of fun too. All the extra track meets you took us to at mostly your expense was really appreciated. I just want it know that good teachers do have such a possitive impact on our lives as young people.

thank for. Dad you brought me up well with discipline and respect for others as much as I hate to admit it but I needed it to get through this point in my life. I was trained to be a Radio Operator in the Military it was an interesting thing to do and then they shipped me out to Calgary in 1975 were I've been ever since. I got out of the Military in 1976.
Calgary has been an excellent place to be with the city growing the way it has. When I first came here the the population were around 400,000 and now we have almost 1,100,000 people. Iv'e been in the window business since getting out of the Army and I got married to wife Debbie in 1988. Hey were still happily married an accomplisment in this day and age. We have 2 children our daughter Michelle is 20 and our son James is 18 . Life has been very good to me. I have a small contracting business, we specialize in installing exterior windows and doors. It's been a rewarding thing to be involved in.
I'll be turning 54 in May 2010 It seems like such a long time since I lived in Chemy and PEI but I remember some of the old gang like it was yesterday. It's really funny I still remember my old phone number in Chemy 855-2168 thats cool. I see some of you on the list but others need to get on the list, lets get connected. Hey guys and gals don't be shy whoever you are it will be nice to reconnect. If there is anything I can help you with then let me know I'll see what I can do to make it happen. One more thing, I have scanned the 1972 CVDCS YearBook and I have every page posted on Classmates. I haven't seen any copyright markings in the yearbook so I feel it's fair game to copy. That means you can look at all the Class photos for Grade 9 - 13 enjoy looking back to 1972. I don' remember ever getting a yearbook from MRHS but I would love to see one if someone has a copy they could display it on classmates.
