Life Terry D. Burkhalter, Vice President Risk Control Consulting Services Willis of Tennessee, Inc. Professionally: Terry holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety and a B.A. Degree in Industrial Management from Middle Tennessee State University. Altogether, he has over 25 years’ experience in the safety field with over 20 years in the insurance industry. From 1974 to 1980, Terry served as the Assistant Director of Student Programming for Middle Tennessee State University. In that capacity, he was involved in concert and show promotion and staging for the University in conjunction with Sound- Seventy Productions, Concerts West, and other major concert, stage, and special show promotions. In 1974 he began working with the Veterans Administration Hospital, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and moved to the V.A. Regional Center, in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1976. During this time, he designed and super¬vised construction projects and was Safety Engineer for the Veterans Administration facilities including hospitals and ceme¬teries for Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1979 he began his insurance career as Loss Control Consultant with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company working the Mississippi, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville, Tennessee, terri¬to¬ries. He was later promoted to Service Supervisor and completed ten years of service with Fireman’s Fund. He later spent time with CAN Insurance. In October 1989 he joined Willis as Director of Rick Control Consulting Services for the Knoxville and Chattanooga offices. His client base includes companies from Canada, Japan, Europe, Australia, Mexico, and throughout the United States.
