Terry's Story
After leaving Northern Adirondack, I joined the U.S Marine Corps. My original intent was to do one tour then move onto something else but as it turned out I ended up retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant with 30 years service. Who would have thought...... The Marine Corps allowed me to travel extensively and I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. I completed one combat tour in Iraq as an individual augment and led a team of four travelling around the area. While in Fallujah, I was able to travel to Bagdad and Djubuti, Africa to assist Service Members there.

t. Fourteen months ago I left that job to find out what it was like to stay home. With no Children/Grandchildren here and no real responsibilities I'm starting to get bored and think it's time to go back to work.
I am happily married to Ron and have been for 33 years. I have two Children (Paul 31 and Jennifer 30) and four Grandchildren. Caleb is 7, Walt is 5, Ian is 3 and Morgan is 2. Until a few years ago we were all in NC but Ron and I moved up to Virginia. Luckily we'e able to make it down to visit about once a month. They grow so fast :-) Being a Grandparent is THE greatest experience in the world. It' so much fun to spoil them then send them home to let someone else do the parenting.
