Terry's Story
Halloween 1985, I was married and the mother of three beautiful children, Christopher - 5 yrs. old, Lindsey - 2yrs 10 months old and Robbi - 18 months old.
About a week later, my daughter, Lindsey, began running a fever, with no other symptoms. Just a really high fever. After seeing the doctor a few times, they ran some blood test and discovered that Lindsey had an abnormally low white cell and platelet count. She was referred to a pediatric oncologist and a bone marrow exam was done to rule out Leukemia (which she did not have). Test showed that Lindsey had a rare virus.

ally on Nov. 23 1985, Lindsey was admitted into the hospital. The doctors didn't know what they were dealing with, and Lindsey got worse.
Two weeks after beging admitted into the hospital Lindsey was put into pediatric intensive care, where they put her into a drug induced coma, after she went into cardiac arrest.
Two weeks later, on December 22, 1985 at 11:45 pm, my precious daughter Lindsey passed away. She died from a virus that destroyed her bone marrow, she was Aplastic anemia.
Losing a child is the most difficult thing a parent can experience. If you can make it though that, everything else in life is easy.
