Terry's Story
Life
Still living in Livermore where I was born. Still married to the same young lady Jody Vargas class of 71. We were married in 1973. She is a teacher (first grade in Livermore) I have two kids Tara, 30 who lives in West Sacramento working as a Personal Servive Coordinator for psychiatric patients. A son Matt 28, who works in the Sound and Communication Division of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
As of January 31, 2010, I closed down Givens Electric Inc. and retired from the IBEW. In 2004 I retired after 31 years serving the Alameda County Fire Department as the Volunteer Fire Chief. Ye...Expand for more
s I was there for the earthquake and the Oakland Hills fire, I worked along side Chuck Rogge who also was a volunteer fire fighter.
Even though I retired Jody is still teaching I have taken up gardening and fixing up the house. I have had my share of medical concerns as I received a severe electrical shock in 1990, in one arm out the other, with a stop at the heart. I had a pacemaker and defiberlator installed in 2001.
That's pretty much my life in a nutshell. I still see or run across many classmates through my travels. As one gets older it seems that the memories of our high school days are seen with fonder eyes.
