Terry's Story
Life
Well let see, for all that knew me in Fortuna, I was a relative nobody looking for
something that wasn't there in Fortuna. As soon as I graduated I jumped into the Air Force and was flown off to Texas and ended in Austin, Tx for almost 3 yrs (excellent, tons of rock concerts a regular party town).
Then off to the Philippines (Clark AB)and Korea (Osan AB) where I stayed for 7 yrs (even better, loved it). Back to Cali, for almost 2 yrs. the Mojave, George AFB (too windy, car got sand blasted). Back to Korea for a year (Kunsan AB), put in for Japan got Moody AFB Georgia (1 1/2 yrs there) southern accents, hard to understand. Back to Korea (Pusan, Kimhae International Airport) for six more years (no accents here!). Met my wife there her name is Young Ju (a sweetie),I've got 2 boys Clay 26 (P/marrage) and Austin 13 as of (2008). Retired from the Force in 96, worked for Boeing for 2, then the Army (Civilian) for 2 then on to DOD Government (DCMA) in Houston, Tx working as a Quality representative for the Gov. overseeing ...Expand for more
Boeing and their build of NASA Space Station Quality programs. Well 2003 came along and I was selected to go to Singapore to work there for five years. Well after 1 1/2 years they called me to help out Korea again so I went there for a year and half and then back to Singapore again to do what I liked most, Golfing every weekend at some really good tropical courses and fishing for sails in Malaysia. Returned back to the states (San Antonio, Tx 2008) and with that I am back working as a Government Quality Assurance Technical Lead and team watching none other than Boeing again as they perform Mods on the C-17 Aircraft. Update: 2010 heading for Melbourne Australia this August for three to five years as the only US Government QAR in country working with the Australian Government on US Government contracts. Should be a real challenge for me and the family...eh! Mate....
Life has been good to me in which I owe it to the Force. Just a shout out to all that I've come into contact with! HEY DUDES and DUDETTES. Keep em flying.
