This is what my shop/garage looks like now. Demolition was completed in 3 hours on Monday, something I had to wait 3 1/2 months to do. We're taking advantage of the bare slab to get our back yard tree trimmed, and construc
This went up by 2:00 pm today! Al, my builder, said it would go quickly after the block work was done, but I didn't think it would be this fast. Long way to go, but it's shaping up!

Just found this pic I had forgotten about, back when I was making folders. It's the most expensive knife I ever made. I think I got around $900-$1000 for it, probably worth twice that much. Damascus blade, hot salt blued
Progress! Garage rough wired and inspected....Framework inspected (both passed!). Interior work begins shortly. Insulation and walls, then wiring the shop portion. This looks much better than a bare slab! It will be t
Looking more like a garage and workshop today! Trusses installed, wall paneling all around and wrapped. The side facing my neighbor's garage is sheetrocked with fire resistant panels over that. New codes require it.
I looked a lot better on my wedding day. Great photo though. Mary looked beautiful!

Stolen from Webster Wood's page! How true!
It's a start! Not anywhere near done. Not half done for head knives and haven't started making trim knives in earnest yet. I want to last as long as I can at my Sheridan Show table! Looking at many more hours of work a
Have made some progress! I think I'm done with the head/round knives I'll be taking. Have to finish the sheaths on some yet. Now to start on the trim knives. I may run out of steam, and or time, and not have as many as
As they say in poker tournaments, this is the final table...well, almost. I still have to make some draw gauge blades, a few Wharncliffes, and a few each of my two "Petite" models. I'm running out of time and frankly, out
Took a two hour break and went metal detecting in a "worked out" park. To my surprise, I found these beauties all in a 6X6 foot grassy area, that apparently had been overlooked by others. These are the kinds of coins I love
Do you feel lucky, Voldemort?...well, do you, punk!?
Borrowed from Howard Clark...Nails it as to how I feel about making knives...
I promised a pic of me in my new Dustin Lauw "Festus Boots", so here it is. I could not be happier! Just got back from visiting our local "Greek Fest", and though I'm not Greek, I really enjoyed the food. Walked quite a
I received my 419 blades back from Peters' Heat Treating this afternoon. The old peg board was looking pretty anemic until these arrived. Now I'm well stocked and these should hold me for quite a while, I hope!
