Terry's Story
Life
2016
I have been retired from the Bureau for five years now. Got bored and stupid so I spent several months working in D.C. and Afghanistan for another government agency until I realized they had no clue what they were doing and were going to get me killed. I have been working in the South Texas oil patch as a construction inspector for the past 3.5 years and with mom now retired we spend a lot of make up time together. I expect to fully retire in another 3 years. Youngest daughter will be graduating from A&M's law school then. oldest daughter is an Asst. District Attorney central Texas and after a year of law school the middle daughter decided it wasn't for her and is currently working on her masters in education leadership.. Life continues to be great and I count my blessings everyday.
2012
Retired from the FBI as is the requirement of federal law enforcement all must retire at age 57. Have had some contracting offers to go back overseas. Compensation offers are good but since 2004 I have spent almost three years of my life away and I am not really sure I want to spend more time away from my four girls. Staying at home and farting around our farm has not been bad either. Perhaps I will just wait until complete boredom sets in and then I will decide what I want to do when I grow up.
2010
Serving the next year on what will likely be my last overseas deployment. Retirement coming up too soon and I will have to find something else to do.

old classmate find and read a book titled "Finding Heros" written by a fellow named Byron Starr. A friend found the book and sent it to me when I returned from Afghanistan in 2007. We learned some valuable lessons walking the halls of old MacArthur High so many years ago.
Mom and girls still holding down the fort while dad travels the world seeing and doing new things. Oldest daughter graduated law school in the spring, passed the bar, and is now looking for job. Middle daughter is a sophomore in college not knowing fully what she wants to do in the future (definitely her father's child). Baby girl will be graduating next spring from high school. Mother talked her out of Naval Academy and so now she is looking at going to A&M. I am gone way too often and way too long, but my girls seem to accept this even if they don't fully understand. They know what their father has done in the past and why he needs to do what he is doing now.
Workplace - 2007
I have been a Special Agent with the FBI for seventeen years now and have had experiences that I could have never imagined, including working overseas for extended periods on counterterrorism missions. At home, I have worked bank robberies, kidnappings, the Space Shuttle Columbia and World Trade Center recovery efforts. My career has also given me the opportunity to work with some of the finest men and women from throughout the world. I truly feel blessed and never expected to do the things I've done when walking the halls of MacArthur High so many years ago.
