Mark's Story

I live in El Dorado Hills, CA with my best friend, who also happens to be my wife. I have two children both living in the Sacramento area. After high school I enlisted in the Marine Corps and later became a Deputy Sheriff. I spent most of my time in the Sacramento County reserve forces while working as an Engineer and finishing college. After many years, I finally graduated with a Master's Degree in Business, a Bachelor of Science degree in science and technology, and a Project Manage...Expand for more
ment certification. The past 20 years I have been working for Siemens in the transportation division and have worked on the light rail projects in Denver, Portland, Edmonton, St. Louis, Salt Lake City, and Calgary. My personal life is dedicated to training and competing in long distance events. I have completed many Olympic distance triathlons, Ironman 70.3 events, Marathons, and Century bike rides. My near future events include Ironman St. George, Ironman Canada, and the Death Ride.
