Terry's Story
Life
1979 was a long time ago, okay? I've been living in Utah since Dec. 1980. I married my wife Necha in July 1982. We live in Clearfield and have seven children, six boys and one girl. I am a Project Engineer with Standard Aero out of San Antonio, TX working on some contracts at Hill AFB here in Utah. Necha works as a CNA in the GI Lab at the Davis Hospital in Layton, is taking classes at Weber State University (WSU) in Ogden, and trying to get into their nursing program. Our oldest son Charlie is married, working for an HVAC company in Layton, and going to WSU. Our daughter Charissa is an RN at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, is working on her BS in nursing at WSU, and recently got married. Our next son Glen graduated valedictorian from Clearfield High School this year and is currently serving an LDS Mission to Uruguay. James and Nicholas are at Clearfield High. Jonathan and Jacob are at West Point Jr. High. We have a mountain king snake, two yellow labs, and three cockatiels. We are active in church, scouts, our community, and spend a lot of time outdoors camping, hiking, backpacking, and hunting. I go to the gym at the Base before work in the morning, and I'm a Scout Master in my boy's Troop.
College

ously untill 1998. I took a few general ed classes at Weber State University in the late 80's and early 90's. I decided it was time to get an engineering degree after I was crushed in a construction accident in Feb. 1998, went through physical therapy, and was unable to return to work. Obviously, my college years were different than most people's...married with seven children, bills, house and car payments, going to school during the day, working at night, and doing homework on the weekends. However, I survived and graduated in May 2003.
Workplace
After high school I continued working construction and landscaping in the Phoenix area for a while. Then I served an LDS Mission in Utah. I worked odds and ends labor jobs for a few years, hired on at Thiokol and worked there in various positions for 13 years. When I got laid off there, I went back to construction, and was crushed on a job site. I broke my back for the second time, split my left shoulder blade, and nearly destroyed my right ankle. I worked for an HVAC company during college, and got laid off from there my senior year. After graduation, I hired on as a Project Engineer for Standard Aero in San Antonio, TX. I am currently working on some contract projects for them here at Hill AFB in Utah.
